Day 1: Wollombi

So here are photos of day 1 of our trip. It really made me appreciate the beauty of being in the middle of nowhere with no reception or internet whatsoever..away from the hectic suburban life.. away from facebook for that matter haha.. The retreat had no reception (which was probably for the better as this weekend was for the sole purpose of relaxation), no internet, and only two proper tv channels.. however, it did come with a fireplace and outdoor spa. Needless to say spending most nights soaking our bodies until we resembled wrinkly dried prunes was definately on the agenda.

Day 1 was spent getting slightly lost with Matt's fantastic navigational skills and failure to believe that the female race may actually have some sense of direction =P (he lost his privilege to have any input in where to go) but eventually we found the town and found a place with reception to make a brief call to the reception of Mystwood. Eventually found the place and spent the afternoon settling in and getting well acquainted with the property's Groodle, Stella (she is a beautiful golden retriever cross poodle) who always manages to grace us with her presence whenever it was mealtime.

The rest of the night was spent in the spa.. followed by preparation for our Mexican themed night involving nachos and enchiladas. Luckily that we prepped for the lack of broadcast entertainment on our television and brought movies.. attempted to watch Paranormal Activity but just ended up falling asleep through 90% of it, however, I am told I didn't miss much.

Now, in terms of what I'm wearing, I've recently invested in two pairs of Nudie Jeans. After hours of shopping.. found 2 pairs which will be essentials in my winter wardrobe and daily school wear.
